The Free Speech Film Festival is undertaking a transition from an annual award event to an online festival featuring a democratic review process and hundreds of annual film submissions. The old site had seen its day and no longer reflected the mission of the non-profit. Something new was required that would appeal to a younger, more engaged, audience.
