We strive to maintain as much of the original site's appearance as possible.  Of course, every migration is an opportunity to make improvements to the design and features of your site as well.

Most Muse to WordPress migrations take 1-6 weeks from start to finish, depending on complexity and any adjustments you require.  Custom functionality, or e-commerce features may extend this timeline.  Small sites  of a few pages can completed in as little as a few days to a week.

We make every effort to maintain those aspects of your site that are important to its search engine optimization.  Nevertheless, search rankings and visibility are highly volatile.  Migrating to WordPress may provide additional SEO opportunties and certainly greater flexibility in meeting any SEO challenges you may encounter.

Your domain name will remain registered with your current domain registrar (for example, GoDaddy, Namecheap, Network Solutions, etc.).  In most cases it will not need to be moved to another registrar.

If you wish to update your website yourself, we can provide the training required to build the skills required. Alternatively, we provide content publishing services for many clients who wish to maintain their focus on other aspects of their business or organization.

WordPress is a very robust content management system with a vast ecosystem of theme and plugin developers contributing all manner of solutions for website owners. We can quickly review your site and immediately let you know if anything may require additional effort. If so, we would walk you through the options and allow you to select a path forward most suitable to your needs and budget.

We are able to duplicate your current forms and contact information on the new site. Generally, customer data is not stored in your Muse website.

If you have a website that was built with Muse, it is likely the site has issues of which you may not be currently aware.  Generally, you will be unable to update your Muse site without directly working with the code of the site as a developer might.  The site may have  multiple security vulnerabilities.  Forms and other features may stop working without notice.   Visitors may have unreported compatibility problems or be unable to access the site at all as time moves on.  We have encountered situations where Muse sites contained fonts or images that were no longer properly licensed, thus leading to legal issues.  If your site is important to you and your business or organization, it would be wise to migrate sooner rather than later.
